WWSHS Annual Show 2011

On behalf of West Wales Shire Horse Society, I would like to thank all exhibitors, sponsors and visitors on the day for supporting the Annual Show and hope everyone had an enjoyable day. This is the sixth Annual Show which was held this year again in Llanybydder and was a very successful day with the weather on our side yet again! Twenty five Shires competed throughout the day and the Champion Shire this year was won by Catwg Gypsy, owned by Mr.Kerry Tanner of Neath and Reserve Champion was Penlan Ceri Rose owned by Jason and myself. Junior Champion was also won by Mr.Kerry Tanner with his three year old filly, Catwg Seren and Reserve Junior Champion was won by Mr.Mervyn Smith with Penlan Penny Rose.

A Tug-of-War competition took place lunchtime and a Birds of Prey Demonstration which was enjoyed by the spectators.

A wonderful display also took place in the ring of vintage tractors which was also a competition for the best tractor which was kindly judged by Mr.Ellis Davies of Gower, which this year was won again by Mr.Wil Hughes of Lampeter...congratulations!
